Over the last week, we have been closely monitoring the continued spread of COVID-19 in our community. DC is now seeing case counts higher than any other point since March 2020, and we know that we need to adapt our processes in order to keep our community safe, and to return to in-person instruction as soon as possible.
As part of this plan, E.L. Haynes will transition to virtual learning from January 5 through January 10/11, 2022. In order to prepare for this transition, as well as test all staff members, we will be CLOSED on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Beginning January 11, we will have a staggered return for each campus. We will transition our scheduled parent-teacher conference day on Friday, January 14 to an in-person learning day for all students. Additionally, ALL students MUST receive a COVID-19 test prior to returning to campus. Click here to learn more about our COVID-19 testing sites on January 10 and 11.
